By Nicole Lontzek – Hyper Automation is the next stage of digital transformation. While technologies such as Gen AI and Co. have become an integral part of our everyday lives and are experiencing a real hype, the term hyper automation is not yet so familiar.

It is actually just a consistent further development of the possibilities that already exist, because hyper automation is about taking a holistic view of business processes, uncovering potential and then strategically approaching the solution. This approach is neither new nor extraordinary.

What is new is that technologies such as artificial intelligence, robot-controlled process automation (RPA), low-code/no-code platforms and process mining are combined to automate complex and repetitive processes. This is done as part of an overarching corporate strategy.
