On average, between 60 per cent and 73 per cent of data in an enterprise goes unused for analytics,\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/go.forrester.com\/blogs\/hadoop-is-datas-darling-for-a-reason\/\" target=\"_blank\">according to research firm Forrester<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cyberconservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Zoho-analytics-dashboard.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31381\" width=\"362\" height=\"207\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words, most organisations are missing many potential insights into their business, customers and markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be fair, the increasing volume of available data has resulted in greater complexity, adding to the difficulty for businesses to manage, process and interpret all that information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is why <strong>business intelligence<\/strong> (<strong>BI<\/strong>) applications are becoming more popular; they extensively use graphics, or visualisations. These allow executives and other decision-makers to more easily identify complex data trends and insights, and act on them. In fact, several <strong>BI<\/strong> applications are designed to be self-service, so you don\u2019t have to be a data scientist to use them.
