{"id":31834,"date":"2019-08-22T03:07:00","date_gmt":"2019-08-22T07:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cybercon1.com\/?p=31834"},"modified":"2019-08-22T03:07:00","modified_gmt":"2019-08-22T07:07:00","slug":"internet-of-things-growth-faces-skills-gap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cyberconservices.com\/index.php\/2019\/08\/22\/internet-of-things-growth-faces-skills-gap\/","title":{"rendered":"Internet Of Things Growth Faces Skills Gap"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Not all Internet of Things projects succeed, but businesses seem to be more quickly discovering what does and doesn\u2019t work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A new global study found that the majority (56%) of unsuccessful <strong>IoT<\/strong> projects were determined within months, so that organizations could move on or at least revisit original project goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cyberconservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/iot-3404892__340-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31835\" width=\"280\" height=\"162\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The seventh annual study comprised a survey of <strong>IoT<\/strong> decision makers from 29 countries conducted by the International Data Corporation (IDC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finding the right people to put on <strong>IoT<\/strong> projects is becoming an issue. In this year\u2019s study, dealing with the skills gap became the third-biggest challenge behind overall cost and security concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The focus areas for investments in 2019 are now improved productivity, reduced costs and achieving better product quality &#8212; a shift from improving security in previous editions of the study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Businesses are in serious <strong>IoT <\/strong>testing mode, with the majority (85%) of companies having a budget allocated to IoT projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the road to a successful <strong>IoT<\/strong> project can be challenging or lengthy, at least companies are learning to more quickly see what roads not to take.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?rct=j&amp;sa=t&amp;url=https:\/\/www.mediapost.com\/publications\/article\/339129\/internet-of-things-growth-faces-skills-gap.html&amp;ct=ga&amp;cd=CAEYByoTNTI1Nzg2NTcyOTk0Nzk5NTgxODIaYTJkNzVhMDE0OWE4MjFkNzpjb206ZW46VVM&amp;usg=AFQjCNE2fiu7oi8MI0ddT6gj3AVOqoz33A\">Read On: <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not all Internet of Things projects succeed, but businesses seem to be more quickly discovering what does and doesn\u2019t work.
