{"id":31940,"date":"2019-10-15T02:26:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-15T06:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cybercon1.com\/?p=31940"},"modified":"2019-10-15T02:26:00","modified_gmt":"2019-10-15T06:26:00","slug":"sharepoint-migration-tool-now-supports-sharepoint-server-2010-sites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cyberconservices.com\/index.php\/2019\/10\/15\/sharepoint-migration-tool-now-supports-sharepoint-server-2010-sites\/","title":{"rendered":"SharePoint Migration Tool Now Supports SharePoint Server 2010 Sites"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Microsoft recently updated its <strong>SharePoint<\/strong> Server migration tool and issued an updated diagnostic tool for assessing <strong>SharePoint <\/strong>Server 2019 and <strong>SharePoint<\/strong> Server 2016 environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Updated SharePoint Migration Tool<\/strong><br>On the migration side, Microsoft\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/Microsoft-SharePoint-Blog\/SharePoint-Migration-Tool-now-supports-SharePoint-Server-2010\/ba-p\/875859\" target=\"_blank\">last week announced<\/a>\u00a0that the <strong>SharePoint<\/strong> Migration Tool&#8217;s ability to move <strong>SharePoint <\/strong>Server 2010 sites or file shares to <strong>SharePoint <\/strong>Online had reached the &#8220;general availability&#8221; stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cyberconservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Sharepoint.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31941\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>General availability means that the solution, currently at\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/spmtreleasescus.blob.core.windows.net\/install\/default.htm\" target=\"_blank\">version 3.2.114.0<\/a>, is deemed ready for production use by organizations. Previously, the tool just supported migrating SharePoint Server 2013 sites to <strong>SharePoint<\/strong> Online. The updated tool can move content to three Office 365 services, including <strong>SharePoint <\/strong>Online, OneDrive and Microsoft Teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ability to move <strong>SharePoin<\/strong>t Server 2010 sites is arriving in the nick of time. <strong>SharePoint<\/strong> Server 2010 Service Pack 2 will be exiting its &#8220;extended support&#8221; phase\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/lifecycle\/search?alpha=SharePoint%20Server%202010\" target=\"_blank\">on Oct. 13, 2020<\/a>.
