{"id":32963,"date":"2019-11-04T03:39:00","date_gmt":"2019-11-04T08:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.cybercon1.com\/?p=32963"},"modified":"2019-11-04T03:39:00","modified_gmt":"2019-11-04T08:39:00","slug":"mozilla-and-element-ai-want-to-build-data-trusts-in-the-artificial-intelligence-age","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cyberconservices.com\/index.php\/2019\/11\/04\/mozilla-and-element-ai-want-to-build-data-trusts-in-the-artificial-intelligence-age\/","title":{"rendered":"Mozilla and Element AI want to build &#8216;data trusts&#8217; in the artificial intelligence age"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Mozilla, the nonprofit behind the free and open-source Firefox web browser, is partnering with Montreal-based artificial intelligence startup Element AI to push for ethical use of <strong>AI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To that effect, the two companies are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.elementai.com\/press-room\/element-ai-and-mozilla-foundation-partner-to-build-data-trusts-and-advocate-for-the-ethical-data-governance-of-ai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">exploring the idea of data trusts<\/a>, a proposed data collection approach that aims to provide individuals with greater control over their personal information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.cyberconservices.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/abstract-1278060__340-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32964\" width=\"255\" height=\"173\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim, the companies said, is to offer an alternative model to the current broken consent-based system of data collection such as the EU GDPR regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s easy to see why.
