In other words, until you understand and manage a process it is futile to attempt to automate it.  For example, if you want to loss weight wouldn&#8217;t you need to understand and measure what you are consuming before you can develop a strategy to reduce your weight.  <strong>Business Process Management <\/strong>and the subsequent Automation are no different.  Automating what is not fully understood will only result in chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This sounds basic enough, though a\u00a0<em>real-world<\/em>\u00a0business process can be bafflingly complex and convolute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.pixabay.com\/photo\/2015\/01\/30\/18\/13\/diet-617756__340.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"662\" height=\"454\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Business process automation<\/strong> (<strong>BPA<\/strong>), also known as digital transformation or business automation, is the technology-enabled automation of\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/searchcio.techtarget.com\/definition\/business-process\" target=\"_blank\">business processes<\/a>. <strong>BPA<\/strong> comprises the integration of applications, restructuring labor resources and incorporating software applications into the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a study by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/740593\/worldwide-business-process-automation-market-size\/\">Statista<\/a>, the global business process automation market value is projected to increase from\u00a0<strong>$9.7 billion in 2019 to $12.7 billion in 2021<\/strong>. As more organizations implement <strong>BPA<\/strong> software to streamline their business processes, it\u2019s paramount to examine your business and see if and where it can benefit you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s examine an example of business process automation software in action. Digitizing a paper form and having the electronic version automatically submitted to the correct recipient would be a good example.
