Ah, yes please.  The Low Code\/No Code world is getting ever larger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>By\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/meet-the-team\/us\/mary-jo-foley\/\">Mary Jo Foley\u00a0<\/a> &#8211; Microsoft is continuing to try to make its\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/why-microsofts-power-platform-is-one-of-its-biggest-bets-for-2019-and-beyond\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Power Platform<\/strong> collection of low-code tools<\/a>\u00a0easier for non-programmers to use. The latest addition to the Power Platform stable looks to be a new low-code language called Power Fx.<br><br>The Walking Cat dropped a hint earlier this week about something called\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/_h0x0d_\/status\/1362572944963067906\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Power Fx.&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0I believe Power Fx will be announced at Microsoft&#8217;s Ignite virtual event the first week of March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.istockphoto.com\/photos\/abstract-coding-texture-picture-id1166418535?b=1&amp;k=6&amp;m=1166418535&amp;s=170667a&amp;w=0&amp;h=8YeEk11uFRcodhA6dAL6aJ4lYI9WKVDvbagDyF_V3iE=\" alt=\"\" width=\"694\" height=\"468\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Also:&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/special-report-what-is-low-code-no-code-a-guide-to-development-platforms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>What is low-code and no-code? A guide to development platforms<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From what I&#8217;ve been able to glean, Power Fx will target a key Power Platform audience:\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/office\/power-function-d3f2908b-56f4-4c3f-895a-07fb519c362a\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft Excel users<\/a>. The language, expressed in text, is all about leveraging formulas. By using Power Fx, users will be able to customize logic across the Power Platform. Microsoft&#8217;s goal with Power Fx is to maker Power Platform truly something for people with little professional coding experience.<br><br>As is the case with other elements of the <strong>Power Platform<\/strong> like Power Apps and Power Automate, users will be able to add regular code to formulas using traditional developer tools when needed. I&#8217;m hearing there also will be some kind of tie-in with\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/microsoft-makes-power-platform-tools-dataverse-data-platform-available-for-teams\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dataverse, Microsoft&#8217;s Common Data Service (CDS)<\/a>, which enables users to store and manage data used by business applications.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?rct=j&amp;sa=t&amp;url=https:\/\/www.zdnet.com\/article\/microsoft-readies-power-fx-a-new-power-platform-low-code-language\/&amp;ct=ga&amp;cd=CAEYASoTODcyMjcxOTAyNzQ5MTgzNjg5MjIaZTU0NDQwNGE5MTc5Njg3MTpjb206ZW46VVM&amp;usg=AFQjCNHiqxgWEay0r5bAa1yp_mrea7N95Q\">Read On:<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Something new in the Power Platform to do more with Excel.
