Wow, so this is an interesting article. We run primarily on-prem for actual business production work and have a ton of connections and processes built around that instance. For me the big one is the update problem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We’ve had customers whose workflows were completely broken with updates to the cloud instance which presented tremendous problems and downtime. We’ve had similar issues with on-prem updates, but as the article says, you can roll them back or revert to a VM snapshot if possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Data connectivity is another issue with cloud. Creating those connections means you’re opening up something on the firewall even with APIs. There are tools to help with this but still, in a security conscience world you need to think twice about that. Risk – Reward! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
