Too often in business we shortsightedly look for a solution to a specific problem to get it resolved quickly and move on without looking at the bigger picture of the problem is simply a component. Step back, take a breathe and look deeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customers often start RPA <\/strong>projects with a couple of use cases in mind and generally want to solve a present, short-term issue rather than looking at things holistically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A customer, for example, rushed into deploying RPA <\/strong>because they had one employee leaving, which would have caused disruption. With the labor shortage in today’s economy, RPA <\/strong>would help ensure they wouldn’t have to worry about teaching mundane and repetitive tasks to a new employee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aspiration was correct, but they were missing the bigger picture. They automated the particular process, and everything seemed successful. Everyone went back to work, and the bots kept running. At the time of the budget discussion during the quarterly review, however, the process continued to be a support contract rather than a process that enabled growth because the scale vision was missing.
