If you have a process that is primarily keystrokes and clicks you can probably run it with RPA. Even pulling data from external sources to populate forms is pretty simple with RPA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to solving complex business issues, one (software) size does not fit all. Even within a specific functional area like Human Resources, or project management, each organisation has its own internal and external challenges that are unique. In the past. the best advice was to change the process to suit the software features, not the other way around. However, in today’s complex world of integrated cloud solutions, that sort of thinking may not be the only option anymore. Automation is making inroads in new ways worth considering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used an AI tool called Jasper<\/a> to write this very blog post. Jasper still has a lot to learn, but it is already quite good at understanding the context of what I am trying to say and suggesting words and phrases that I might want to use. The benefit here is that I was able to write the blog post faster, and with less effort. Jasper won\u2019t replace me yet, I still had to provide all key ideas, links and context. This is one emerging example of how process automation, be it writing a blog, or executing many transactions to help facilitate better or more efficient HR processes is becoming a focus for many organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robotic process automation<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(RPA<\/strong>) for example, offers the promise of\u00a0supporting complex and bespoke business processes<\/a>, while not necessarily sacrificing the advantages of using a ‘vanilla’ version of a software solution or purchasing a dedicated workaround. This is especially true when RPA <\/strong>is used to fill gaps in functionality or automate repetitive tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The adoption of RPA<\/strong> is impressive. In a recent\u00a0Deloitte survey<\/a>, 74% of respondents are implementing RPA<\/strong> or \u2018intelligent automation\u2019.
